Victoria, British Columbia

We arrived in Victoria on the Victoria Clipper. After Customs and Immigration, we taxied just a few blocks to our accommodations, Rosewood Inn B & B.

Huge room with vaulted ceilings - totally wallpapered with a large flower pattern... Great location near the Capitol and the Harbor.

While in Victoria we visited:
Victoria Butterfly Gardens
Butchart Gardens
Craigdarroch Castle

Along the walkways of the harbor, many "First Nations" artisans displayed their wares. Guitar players....

We were blessed with fine weather in Victoria: into the 60's at night, high 70's in the daytime.

And Pete loved the look of the water Taxis---- alas, did not get to ride in one. Next time.

Early morning, looking northwards from the Capitol grounds.

While scouting the area around the Rosewood Inn we spotted some wonderful Victorian Gardens - and imaginative Victorian homes.

Of course the Capitol itself dominates the harbor front and the city.

... and the grounds are beautifully maintained.

The namesake of the City, Queen Victoria.
